i also think it would be hard to work with a partner. i can't even write if someone else is in THE HOUSE. i used to work at, um, a giant software corporation, as a temp. and i had an officemate who was a newlywed. she and her huz drove to and from work together each day AND met for lunch every day. it kind of amazed me. i mean, didn't they run out of things to talk about? "hi, honey, what's new since i last saw you three freaking hours ago?" call me crazy...

Oh man, I NEED a break from my wife during the work week, and it has nothing to do with her professional merit (she will soon out-earn me when she completes her CPA certification). I don't think I could work with my wife--no matter if she was the "boss".

It is a nice break to go our separate ways each day. It makes us miss each other, and gives us 2 different days to recount as we cook dinner and settle down for the evening. I fear if we worked together work would follow us home and everywhere. And that is no work/life balance!
