Home alone

December 19th, 2006

God, I hated this kidI am probably the last person on earth to realize this, but the Washington Post recently featured a special section on home-based careers, with emphasis on twentysomethings and moms who want to start their own service-based businesses. Other topics include how to spot a scam (hint: the ad reads something like this, “Make $$$$$$ from home!!!!!!!!!”), the joys of eBay, and fun with franchising. You’ll also find nifty tips on everything from researching a business idea to setting up shop. Check it out.

Thanks for this! Do you mind if I link to you from my Blue Jeans & Tennis Shoes blog? (It’s about home-based businesses, working from home, and the issues that go along with it.)

    hi jen,

thanks for writing. of course i don’t mind the link. in fact, all i want for the holidays is for every person reading this blog to say hello to me, tell me what they do and don’t want to see more of, link to my blog, and encourage all their family and friends to buy my book, which will be available in early feb. that’s not too much to ask, is it? ;)

i just checked out your blog and it looks great. i think you will really like chapters 5 and 6 of my book!

    -m.
