At my corp job, I've seen all three as well. I think the majoirty of us are just doing enough to get by. Then again, I think I tend to associate myself with people who think somewhat like me. Because, really, who wants to eat lunch with someone who's kissing the director's @$$ the whole time? I've been there before...it quickly ruins an appetite. =) I’d love to see that, too! I can tell you how much the first few chapters sum up EXACTLY how I feel. I work in cube land and cannot get over how cult-like it is. I mean, if I have my work done by three, I'm expected to sit around until five just to show that I'm there. I have no one who needs to come see me or call me. In fact everything I do is on the computer...so why not telecommute? But the powers that be feel that they need to have watch over everything we do (hence why everyone's computers face a direction that allow another person to look in with ease to see what you're "working on"). And I'm in salary position as a book editor! There is just no trust of employees. I've already started freelance writing on the side, which is going quite well, but it's time to take the next--bigger--steps. Thanks for giving me a guide on how to do so! Good luck with your book.
