I think as long as a community will be benefited then its a good opportunity to offer pro bono work. Thanks for the great info here.

I’ve found that the way to do this kind of work is by charging something, anything, but at a very low rate. That ensures that the person respects somewhat your limitations and the fact that you’re doing WORK. Even if it’s just $10, I think it’s worth charging a tiny amount to make sure that customers realize that this is a service you’re providing and that you get paid a lot of money for them elsewhere.
